Hi-tea by Rameen Anees and Zahra Bassat.

The pretty hostesses, Rameen Anees and Zahra Bassat. It is the time of the year when the holy month of Ramadan departs, leaving us all the gift of Eid. Summer vacations are coming to an end. Multani-ites are returning to their nests, back to the routines of their lives, in their native land. Even, few months can bring lots of changes in people and places. There have been a great shuffle in the political scene. Before the start of vacations, the prime minister of this country belonged to this land. But now, he is gone; replaced by someone new, who is not expected to hold this office for long too. This is but natural, this world is a temporary abode, no one can hold a position till the end of times. Anyway, the changes which vacations generally bring in to the ladies of this city are usually; loss or gain of weight, tanning or fairness of complexion. The soil of Multan is fertile with spirituality. This city is recognized in the world, because of saints and their mausoleums; which serve as hub for keeping the cultural traditions alive. One such practice, still embraced with full piquancy by the natives, is of arranging ' qawwalis '. Many of his patients associate stories of the miraculous treatment he provided, which revived their lives back. The reason commonly believed is that, he is a 'Syed' by origin (an ancient lineage, directly associated  by the lady Fatima, the beloved daughter of the last prophet of Islam, Hazrat Mohammed, peace be upon him). Also,  the descendant of  'Pir Sheedi Lal': a famous saint of Multan; M

The holy month of Ramadan is here. Like rest of the Muslim ummah, Multani-ites are busy in collecting the bounties of religious blessings, by fasting & offering prayers to Allah Almighty. Ramadan is meant for charity, compassion & togetherness. The Sehris, aftaris & taraweehs are such interesting  religious obligations, which encourage Muslims to socialize within their community. And Multani-ites, like every time of the year are too willing to share their lives, with their friends & families. Mrs. Anjum Sohail's name is neither unfamiliar to the followers of this blog, nor for the residents of this city. But in case, it is new to you, check this post, which provides a complete introduction to the towering personality of the lady,  http://farihamunirshahtimes.blogspot.com/2012/05/sos-committee-by-mrs-anjum-sohail.html Friday 28th July, when the world remained awake to witness the opening ceremony of London olympics, 2012.
