Milaad by Mrs. Zeba Javed.

It is impossible for any woman, who has ever spent some time in the city of saints and loved to socialize, not to be acquainted with the benign personality of this lady. Which, she has definitely inherited from her auspicious parents. As, she is the eldest daughter of (late) Mr. Hameed A. Sheikh, the owner of the hotel Ramada, Multan. Her husband, Dr. Javed, also happens to be the partner in the same business. Mrs. Zeba Javed is fortunate to be blessed, with sisters like, Anjum Sohail. And even more luckier to have a sister in law (an angelic beauty with a heart of Gold), Mrs. Saima Faisal. Therefore, it is truly justified to say that, this entire family holds a celebrity status in Multan. It is a tradition of the Multani-ites to arrange milaad, as the inaugural function for any wedding. ...

Qaisar Khan Pitafi is one great looking gentleman, with an equally meritorious intellect to match. Before his arrival in the literary world, he was already a celebrated artist, but of a different field. A sports champion, who had to his credit, many trophies, prizes and medals in 'golf' and 'lawn tennis'. In the year 2011, he won all Pakistan, 'lawn tennis championship', organized in Military garrison mess, Multan. He still pursues his passion of sports, alongwith audacious indulgence in column writing. 'Idher, udher kee', is his first book; a collection of  his columns published in 'Urdu' news daily, 'Nawa-i-Waqt'.  The most distinguished feature of these columns, is his humorous satire on the politicians, political situations and at the inequality, injustices of the society. Ladies club - New year, bonfire - brunch.

The general secretary,  Mrs Mahnaz Amir, delivering the annual report of the club. Finally, 2013 is here. An year, that many believed was never going to arrive. Because of the dooms' day predictions, at the end of 2012. But the world lives on, and it clearly shows that no soothsayer can ever guarantee the future. Nobody knows, but only, the Almighty. The Muslim (lunar year) had already started few months earlier. But as it begins with the sober month of Muharram, with no celebrations. So, natives of Multan, join in the festivities of solar year, to bring in the new year. The annual function of the ladies club, Multan, was arranged at a time, to mark one such occasion. On 16th January, a bon-fire brunch was hosted by Mahnaz Amir Sheikh , the general secretary of the club and her group members.
