Birthdays are extremely special occasions. These are the reminders of God's kindness towards you. That Almighty allowed you to enjoy another year of life, on earth. You maybe unsure of the future, but on your birthday, every year, you know that you were granted more time and you should be thankful for it. Some consider it a time to celebrate with their loved ones.

Lucky are those who are loved back by those, whom they love, Fariha Munir Shah is one of them. The lady has been reputed, all her life for an amazing company of friends. All the beautiful and happening ladies, who happen to be sweet, sincere and enterprising at the same time, always remain close to her and her heart. And a group among them, always made sure that every year, they are there to celebrate Fariha's birthday. Specially, Saima Faisal, Rabia Rehman, Farah FaisalMahnaz Fareed and Haniya Shahid. Most of times, they arranged her birthday party for her and made her attend it. But this year, Fariha's daughters Fatima Shah, Zahra Shah and Hajra Shah, took over the responsibility. And arranged a little party at their home 'Al-Makhdoom', for all the wonderful friends of their mom, who have been celebrating the day with her for years.

As 12th February 2017, was a Sunday. The party was arranged in the evening of 11th February. Only a small number of guests were invited, who could fit in the drawing room. Shazia Jabeen, Saadiya Yaqoob, Rabia Bosan, Mahnaz Asim and Aarfa Waqar were also present, alongwith those mentioned earlier. Fariha's mom, Mrs. Aziza Naseem Pitafi, sister in law Asma Qaisar and niece, Sephora Khan Pitafi were part of it too.

The evening included a performance by a renowned local singer called 'Kiran', complete with a tabla player and a pianist, the guests were entertained with folk and Pakistani songs. The birthday girl being extremely patriotic and did not approve any Indian songs.

Fariha Munir's daughter
Zahra Shah is the most well loved and sought after baker/cake artist of the city of saints. A young entrepreneur, she runs her own business 'The Little Cake Company'. Not only the birthday cake was made by her but all the desserts, Chocolate Gateau, Strawberry delight, Egg pudding, alongwith caramel cheese cake, cookie dough truffles, French macroons and cupcakes. Mahnaz Fareed looked at variety of sweets and asked, 'why so many for a little group of friends?'. To this Fariha delightfully answered, 'because my daughter runs a bakery'.

The hi-tea set up was laid by
Fatima Shah, Fariha's eldest daughter, who is a under-grad student of Visual Merchandising in Lahore and by the youngest Hajra Shah, who has just started her O levels. They did a wonderful job and perfectly utilised and beautified the available space, with fairy lighting, candles and flower arrangements.

Indeed, superb friends and a loving family is a great blessing and Fariha is thankful to God for all His such kindnesses. And also thanks all her friends, who took time out to celebrate her special day. She requests you all to pray for goodness of her and all her family. Including, her husband, children, her brothers and all their families. May God bless you all.

Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members.
