The little cake company by Zahra Shah at Blue Fair 2018

Beautiful stall , Little Cake Company by Zahra Shah and its team

In 2018, once again, the city of saints witnessed the awesomeness of Blue Fair. From 14th to 16th April, a three days phenomenal event, organized by Women's chamber of Commerce and industry Multan. Something by the women, for the women. An astounding display of women empowerment, which has attracted people and attention from Peshawar to Karachi. With every passing year, the stalls keep on increasing, the sales keep on increasing, footfall keeps on increasing. Its mega success has made people predict, if this excellence continues on the same pace, some day, Blue fair may become as big as Dubai shopping festival.

The little cake company by Zahra Shah took birth here. This home-based bakery business also grew three years old with its third year of participation. Experience is also flourishing with the business. So, this year. the little cake company by Zahra Shah presented an even better designed and decorated stall, alongwith nectarous baked products. Many in Multan tasted 'Chocolate banana bread' and 'Boston cream pie cake', for the first time in their lives, only at the LCC stall by Zahra Shah at Blue fair. French Macrons what only this bakery offers in the city, with the regular cakes, brownies and mouth watering desserts. The display of sweets displayed a respledent sight and  Zahra Shah sold almost everything within few hours of arrival at venue.

What to talk of amazing stall decorations. Baloon arches raised from every side by RJ birthday organizer. LCC by ZS also had a photo booth this time, hanging at the front. Customers loved taking their pictures, peeping out of it. Some posed with the goods shopped from LCC by ZS stall. All three days of this fair, people took pictures there, posted on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, tagged the little cake company and Zahra Shah. Blue fair made LCC by ZS happening and it payed back by doing the same for the event.

Imagine the excitement of children, they went crazy at the sight of baloons and sweets. Their parents had no other option but to buy them the sweet treats. Such was the magic of Zahra's designing of the stall. Interestingly, people were so impressed by the decorations that they approached her for beautifying their stalls as well, but she had no time free from customers. LCC by Zahra Shah was not only the highest profit making stall but the most popular one too and like every year, bagged the prize of best stall at Blue fair.

Thanks to the efforts of new president of WCCIM, Filza Akbar, this event was greatly publicized at national level and the little cake company by Zahra Shah was given great coverage on media, tv channels, newspapers as a venture by a young female entrepreneur.  Zahra Shah remains grateful for the love and encouragement by all her seniors, specially Masooma Sibtain (former president, spokesperson of WCCI, vice president of FPCCI). Masooma, as head of media committee made sure, all the media and VIP guests must visit each and every stall, specially Zahra's as she is often referred to a great success story of a young, female entrepreneur created by this chamber. Thanks a lot, you lovely ladies, Filza Akbar and Masooma Sibtain.

This time, this fair attracted ladies of WCCI-Lahore as well. The president, Falahat Imran and Senior vice president Faaiza Amjad visited the stall, appreciated Zahra Shah's efforts and enjoyed the baked items by her little cake company.

As the patron in chief of WCCIM, Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar was out of country for medical treatment during those days. Her daughter in law, Farrah Faisal administered the event. She also visited the stall several times, spent time there and admired everything about it.

The little cake company by Zahra Shah is thankful to all its regular clients and those who visited them at the Blue fair stall and believe that this realtion of the bakery and the client would grow bigger and better. Thanks a lot for making this little company so big.

Annual debates at SOS Herman Gmeiner school

Glimpses from the event When you first visit SOS Herman Gmeiner school Multan, you are amazed by its majestic architectural design, beautifully decorated class rooms, functional libraries, meticulously pruned playgrounds, clean walkways and glistening environment. You look at the well mannered, disciplined, full of smiles students, extremely efficient staff members, all this makes you believe that this must be a high end school. To be honest, it is equally great in all its standards. Rather better in some, as they have Rosetta Stone library, through its audio/video English learning methods, children of this school have acquired exceptional accents and perfect pronunciations. Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members. There is a subject of  'general knowledge', which is based on the colorful books in their library, it requires th

M.G.M. Swimming pool.

View of the domes of MGM bulding from inside the pool. The crystal clear blue water. Chairs lined up for the spectators. Little pool for the toddlers. Summer is finally here, although, the weather still turns unpredictable at times. But still, one feels like taking a dip in the cool, cool water of a crystal clear pool.  M.G.M (Multan Garrison Mess. Commonly known among  Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. From April to September/ October (if weather allows it).  Last year, the pool remained open, only till May, after that, it was shut down for renovations & could not be reopened because of the 'dengue' scare. MGM pool has always been, undoubtedly the biggest & the best in this city, with an excellent filtration plant to boast & an extremely dedicated team of military men as workers, for maintaining th

Leading lady of Multan Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is a name synonymous with women empowerment in entire South Punjab. She is a living proof of the saying, 'empowered women, empower other women'. She became a member of Majlis-e-shurra of Pakistan and served at that position from 1982 to 1985 and dedicated herself for the betterment of underprivileged women of South Punjab.  Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar was fully aware of the talents of the women of this area and knew how their skills were exploited at home and at work. She was determined to uplift and raise their standards of living, through education and trainings. She was among first people to ever demand a separate university for the girls of Multan and remained persistent about it. Finally, it bore fruit, three decades later, in form of women's university Multan.  Not just education, but she has worked for the social and economic empowerment of the women too. She is the president of Ladies club Multan. A social platform, which exists fo
