End of summer 2020 sale at Bachaa Party

This is the time of year when end of summer season sales begin at Bacha Party. On Monday 14th September, we learned about it, updated status in our FB group 'I ❤️ Multan', about the ongoing Summer sale. It got the child inside us excited and made us rush to Bachaa party in Gulgasht Multan.
It was a sheer joy being there. We were pleasantly greeted by the staff members. SOPs for prevention of COVID19 were strictly being followed. Thermal gun was used to check our temperature and we were made to clean our hands with sanitizers available there. Use of masks was enforced. 'Bachaa party' is indeed the biggest children's store under one roof. Fancy toys, fashion accessories for the little girls, shoes, clothes for the munchkins to those in their tens and early teens. Whereas, cute stationary, cushions and mugs can be used by grown ups too. The store in Gulgasht Multan is palatial. Mighty two storied building dedicated for the purpose. Esthetically designed to appeal to the young and to the old. Seems, the store has been designed keeping the idea that even the elderly have a child in them and it helps them remember the joys of their own childhood. It is a kind of place, where children want to go and their parents and grandparents love to take them and everything is so reasonably priced that one tends to buy something even when there for window shoping.

We were thrilled to see that the members of 'I ❤️ Multan', Facebook group community were already there to shop, soon after seeing status updates on the group. We went on to ask them how they liked the store and they seemed extremely pleased to avail the discounts. Everybody praised the variety of everything for children under one roof and the enormous size, fascinating decorations at the store. Friendly staff and excellent services. We fell in love with the place. Visiting it was a pleasure in itself. All the shiny, glittery, toys and stuff, push you into nostalgia, bring out the child in you. We even found that part to be therapeutic, retail therapy, you can say.
Anyway, the prices are reasonable. Everything is affordable and now you get a discount on it too. From 10 to 50 percent on every item. So, do not let it go. Go grab your favorite stuff and thank me later.

View of the domes of MGM bulding from inside the pool. The crystal clear blue water. Chairs lined up for the spectators. Little pool for the toddlers. Summer is finally here, although, the weather still turns unpredictable at times. But still, one feels like taking a dip in the cool, cool water of a crystal clear pool.  M.G.M (Multan Garrison Mess. Commonly known among  Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. From April to September/ October (if weather allows it).  Last year, the pool remained open, only till May, after that, it was shut down for renovations & could not be reopened because of the 'dengue' scare. MGM pool has always been, undoubtedly the biggest & the best in this city, with an excellent filtration plant to boast & an extremely dedicated team of military men as workers, for maintaining th

Leading lady of Multan Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is a name synonymous with women empowerment in entire South Punjab. She is a living proof of the saying, 'empowered women, empower other women'. She became a member of Majlis-e-shurra of Pakistan and served at that position from 1982 to 1985 and dedicated herself for the betterment of underprivileged women of South Punjab.  Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar was fully aware of the talents of the women of this area and knew how their skills were exploited at home and at work. She was determined to uplift and raise their standards of living, through education and trainings. She was among first people to ever demand a separate university for the girls of Multan and remained persistent about it. Finally, it bore fruit, three decades later, in form of women's university Multan.  Not just education, but she has worked for the social and economic empowerment of the women too. Annual debates at SOS Herman Gmeiner school

Glimpses from the event When you first visit SOS Herman Gmeiner school Multan, you are amazed by its majestic architectural design, beautifully decorated class rooms, functional libraries, meticulously pruned playgrounds, clean walkways and glistening environment. You look at the well mannered, disciplined, full of smiles students, extremely efficient staff members, all this makes you believe that this must be a high end school. To be honest, it is equally great in all its standards. Rather better in some, as they have Rosetta Stone library, through its audio/video English learning methods, children of this school have acquired exceptional accents and perfect pronunciations. Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members. There is a subject of  'general knowledge', which is based on the colorful books in their library, it requires th
