Mala and Ahsan's silver jubilee wedding anniversary

Mala Ahsan, Ahsan Raheed and their wonderful children

Fairy tales often end with a note, ' Prince and princess got married and lived happily ever after', but hardly any story reveals what happy ever after looks like.
Today, we bring to you, a living example of what happens after a ''happy ending''.

This love story has Ahsan Rasheed as hero, Shimaila Jabeen is the heroine, whom the hero lovingly calls 'Mala' and they got married 25 years ago on a new year night, December 31st 1995.

Exactly 25 years later, their 3 beautiful daughters and a handsome son, plan to celebrate their ''silver jubilee'' anniversary with great pomp. The year is 2020, the notorious 'Corona times', which call for open air gatherings, safe distancing and wearing masks. For the reason, they pick a beautiful farmhouse and fill the place with roses, flower arrangements, bon-fires, lighting and amazing decorations.

As Mala and Ahsan have brought their children with so much love and care. Big or small, each of their achievement and occasion is celebrated. Their birthdays, their parents' birthdays and anniversaries. They are raised amidst parties and celebrations. So, they just know, how to perfect and make an event most memorable. Aasiya, Afreen, Azka and Anus invite all of their parents' friends to a new year celebration and provide them all a reason to dress up and party on a new year's eve.

Mala, who still looks amazingly gorgeous after 25 years of marital life and her daughters wore Red and Black. The heroes, Mr. Ahsan and Anus, were dressed in Black. So were all the decorations matched and contrasted with this color scheme. Stunning pictures of the couple were displayed everywhere. Their children were so thoughtful, they arranged a special viewing of 'Mala and Ahsan's wedding movie. The stage was adorned with the wedding vows on the backdrop. Everything reflected love, love and more love. The bond of love of Mala and Ahsan, their love for their children and their children's love for them. The love of friends and family for all of them. Such an amazing story of how 'happy ever after' is lived.

A scrumptious, sumptuous dinner was served for all the guests. The cake was cut, right before clock struck 12 am and then fireworks took place, to mark beginning of 2021 and completion of silver jubilee of Mala and Mr. Ahsan Rasheed. Everyone who attended the function praised the perfectly resplendent event arranged by Aaseeyah, Aafreen, Azka and Anus Rasheed. Congratulations children for such a remarkable, memorable eventt. May you celebrate Golden and Diamond and even more jubilees of their parents. God bless you all.

Summer is finally here, although, the weather still turns unpredictable at times. But still, one feels like taking a dip in the cool, cool water of a crystal clear pool.  M.G.M (Multan Garrison Mess. Commonly known among  Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. From April to September/ October (if weather allows it).  Last year, the pool remained open, only till May, after that, it was shut down for renovations & could not be reopened because of the 'dengue' scare. MGM pool has always been, undoubtedly the biggest & the best in this city, with an excellent filtration plant to boast & an extremely dedicated team of military men as workers, for maintaining th...

Annual debates at SOS Herman Gmeiner school

Glimpses from the event When you first visit SOS Herman Gmeiner school Multan, you are amazed by its majestic architectural design, beautifully decorated class rooms, functional libraries, meticulously pruned playgrounds, clean walkways and glistening environment. You look at the well mannered, disciplined, full of smiles students, extremely efficient staff members, all this makes you believe that this must be a high end school. To be honest, it is equally great in all its standards. Rather better in some, as they have Rosetta Stone library, through its audio/video English learning methods, children of this school have acquired exceptional accents and perfect pronunciations. Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members. There is a subject of  'general knowledge', which is based on the colorful books in their library, it requires th...

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is a name synonymous with women empowerment in entire South Punjab. She is a living proof of the saying, 'empowered women, empower other women'. She became a member of Majlis-e-shurra of Pakistan and served at that position from 1982 to 1985 and dedicated herself for the betterment of underprivileged women of South Punjab.  Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar was fully aware of the talents of the women of this area and knew how their skills were exploited at home and at work.
