I ❤️ Multan member of the month 2021

Glimpses of the event

'I ❤️ Multan' is an extremely popular Facebook group, which was created in August 2020 and within few months, has reached the strength of 11 thousands followers. 'Member of the month' is an activity, carried out every month in the group and the winners are invited to a little party, hosted in their honor.

Corona times seem to have stretched for long. Due to lockdowns and other restrictions, 'member of the month' ceremonies were discontinued from January 2021. After a break of 3 months, team 'I ❤️ Multan' rearranged
, the giveaway ceremony, on Saturday 24th April 2021. As the holy month of Ramadan was going on, an iftaar party was arranged at Weightless Slimming & Aesthetic Clinic to honor the members of the month, hosted by Dr. Munir Hussain Shah

.
Mr. Khawaja Abdul Haq & Mrs. Mahwish Abdulhaq, the creators and flag bearers of the amazing community Enlightened Multan, were the chief guests at the event and gave away the prizes.
As the ceremony was for 3 months. The winners were 5. One each for January and February. Whereas, 3 for the month of March.
Team 'I ❤️ Multan' was reluctant to ask their sponsors to give prizes together for 5 of them, but when they were informed of it, Jawad Khawaja immediately responded with an open heart and announced 'The Mixed Grill (TMG)' 'PERSONAL DEAL' each to all 5 of the winners, and Hassan Ali Tipu from Burger Station also generously offered, each Zingo Bingo deal for all 5 of them. Indeed 'I ❤️ Multan' is lucky to have such generous sponsors.
Keeping in view the Corona SOPs, only a limited number of guests were invited. Mr. Abdul Rauf Roofi & Ramsha Zabta received the member of the month prizes. Mr. Saleh Lashari won a special prize from the The Little Cake Company by Zahra Shah.

It turned out to be a beautiful & cordial family evening. Dr. Munir Shah was represented by his daughter Fatima Shah and Mrs. Fariha Munir ,as he was feeling unwell, so he refrained from attending the event Wish him best of luck, happiness and a healthy long life. The same to all the wonderful family of 'I ❤️ Multan'. View of the domes of MGM bulding from inside the pool. The crystal clear blue water. Chairs lined up for the spectators. Little pool for the toddlers. Summer is finally here, although, the weather still turns unpredictable at times. But still, one feels like taking a dip in the cool, cool water of a crystal clear pool.  M.G.M (Multan Garrison Mess. Commonly known among  Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. From April to September/ October (if weather allows it).  Last year, the pool remained open, only till May, after that, it was shut down for renovations & could not be reopened because of the 'dengue' scare. MGM pool has always been, undoubtedly the biggest & the best in this city, with an excellent filtration plant to boast & an extremely dedicated team of military men as workers, for maintaining th

Leading lady of Multan Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is a name synonymous with women empowerment in entire South Punjab. She is a living proof of the saying, 'empowered women, empower other women'. She became a member of Majlis-e-shurra of Pakistan and served at that position from 1982 to 1985 and dedicated herself for the betterment of underprivileged women of South Punjab.  Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar was fully aware of the talents of the women of this area and knew how their skills were exploited at home and at work. She was determined to uplift and raise their standards of living, through education and trainings. She was among first people to ever demand a separate university for the girls of Multan and remained persistent about it. Finally, it bore fruit, three decades later, in form of women's university Multan.  Not just education, but she has worked for the social and economic empowerment of the women too. She is the president of Ladies club Multan. A social platform, which exists fo

Annual debates at SOS Herman Gmeiner school

Glimpses from the event When you first visit SOS Herman Gmeiner school Multan, you are amazed by its majestic architectural design, beautifully decorated class rooms, functional libraries, meticulously pruned playgrounds, clean walkways and glistening environment. You look at the well mannered, disciplined, full of smiles students, extremely efficient staff members, all this makes you believe that this must be a high end school. To be honest, it is equally great in all its standards. Rather better in some, as they have Rosetta Stone library, through its audio/video English learning methods, children of this school have acquired exceptional accents and perfect pronunciations. Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members. There is a subject of  'general knowledge', which is based on the colorful books in their library, it requires th
