No blood relatives are required for the purpose, as SOS villages have their own family system and nurture a congenial environment. A village consists of several houses. Each house is an abode to ten children. Looked after by a lady, appointed as 'mother'. She is responsible for taking care of the household chores and of the children like a mother. In short, it is made sure, they receive the affection of sisters, brothers and a mother. If there are siblings residing in the village, it is ensured, they are housed together. Performance by children of SOS Friends of SOS village Multan is a great platform where even partying has a sacred and noble cause of helping the underprivileged children. On 5th September 2023, they arranged their monthly committee meetup with a karaoke night at Ramada hotel Multan. Mahnaz Fareed Sheikh, the head of all Sos projects in Multan and hostess of the event, welcomed the guests and presented a detailed account of achievements of children of SOS and SOS Herman Gmeiner school. Most important and newest feather in the cap of SOS Multan, SOS children's home. Which was inaugurated by the governor Punjab in August. Tabloids by the children which took place on the inaugural event, were again displayed for the friends of sos. Where members pay a minor amount every month and then receive half of it & donate half of it to SOS village Multan.  This committee is successfully run by extremely capable Haniya Shahid for almost two decades. She has brilliantly gathered hundres of ladies together at this platform, which serves the philanthropic and social spirit together.
