Friends of SOS August/Sept Karaoke party

Performance by children of SOS

Friends of SOS village Multan is a great platform where even partying has a sacred and noble cause of helping the underprivileged children.

On 5th September 2023, they arranged their monthly committee meetup with a karaoke night at Ramada hotel Multan.
Mahnaz Fareed Sheikh, the head of all Sos projects in Multan and hostess of the event, welcomed the guests and presented a detailed account of achievements of children of SOS and SOS Herman Gmeiner school. Most important and newest feather in the cap of SOS Multan, SOS children's home. Which was inaugurated by the governor Punjab in August.
Tabloids by the children which took place on the inaugural event, were again displayed for the friends of sos. The touching performance, video stories of children at Sos and how far they have arrived, left many members in tears. To ease the situation, the karaoke contest was carried on. The members were divided into two groups of singers and children of SOS were requested to judge which group was the best. Rameen Anis and Haniya Shahid, hosted that part.
Followed by a hi tea, it turned out to be an enlightening and entertaining event altogether.
The hostesses included Afshan Waseem, Asma Nadeem, Iram Mansoor, Kiran Rashid, Maheen Nouman, Mona Shahid, Riffat Abid, Shahnaz Sami, Tasbiha Sarfraz, Umbreen Qureshi, Ayesha Durrani, Farah Ibrar, Fozia Mugheez Sheikh, Mahnaz Fareed Sheikh, Maria Nadeem, Masooma Sibtain, Naushaba Iftikhar, Saima Adnan, Sumaira Arshad, Yasmin Durrani.

Commonly known among  Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. Leading lady of Multan Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is a name synonymous with women empowerment in entire South Punjab. She is a living proof of the saying, 'empowered women, empower other women'. She was determined to uplift and raise their standards of living, through education and trainings. She was among first people to ever demand a separate university for the girls of Multan and remained persistent about it. Finally, it bore fruit, three decades later, in form of women's university Multan.  Not just education, but she has worked for the social and economic empowerment of the women too. She is the president of Ladies club Multan. A social platform, which exists fo...
