The happening crowd of city of saints is well aware of Mala Ahsan's innovative party ideas. She has already been labelled as queen of theme parties. In February, she surprised everybody with another unique plan and transformed an ordinary committee to an amazing party.

It was her and her friend Nadia Amir's turn to host a committee run by ladies from Askari colony. Instead of usual hi-teas at hotels or lunches at homes. These ladies decided to invite all the members to a movie show at Cine star cinema. And what we loved about it, the movie show was of a superb new Pakistani movie 'Balu Mahi'.

Cine star cinema has recently been revamped to a stunning new set-up. It had always been prodigious but new intricate lighting patterns, superb flooring and unbelievable renovations, now make it hard for visitors to believe that they are in Pakistan.

Staff was appointed at the cinema entrance to escort guests inside the cinema and to relieve them from buying tickets. Hostesses had gallery, completely booked for their guests. Pop corns and cold drinks were served at the seats but that was not all. At the end of the movie, guests were sent back with personal pans and cold drinks from Pizza Hut. Hostesses had to do it, as food was not allowed inside the cinema.

And of course, the best part was the movie. An amazing captivation of the beauty of our country.A remarkable work of art. From urban life inside the heart of interior Lahore to enchanting heights of Hunza valley, every scene seemed to be lovingly picturised. Although, it revolved around a boy meets girl love-story but the love for Pakistan was oozing out of it. Melodious songs and superb tunes, enhanced its colours.

The humour was subtle and adult at times but far from being obnoxious. A light hearted comedy film, yet it delivered a strong 'feminist' message. 'Allow your daughters to pursue their dreams and shape their futures. Do not push them into early marriages and end their freedom'. And this actually, made the entire movie, all the more meaningful. The heroine Aini Jafri appeared enchantingly beautiful and the hero Osman Khalid Butt was equally handsome. There was not even a little flaw, a weak link in the movie. Everything was perfect.

Thanks a lot Mala and Nadia for such a wonderful show. It was indeed a lovely experience. Great part of the event was revival of interest and support of Pakistani cinema. Supporters like you are going to take Pakistani cinema to the top in the world. Thanks again.

At the end, a request to all the Pakistanis around the world. Everything which sounds like Urdu is not Urdu. Urdu is your nation language, own it please! Everyone and everything which appears 'Desi' is not from your des (your country). Your country is Pakistan, own it please! Seventy years ago, your ancestors made great sacrifices to get you this individual identity of a separate nation. Do not mix it up. Do not confuse yourself with your neighbours. You have your own identity, own it please! Be Pakistani, buy Pakistani, watch Pakistani entertainment, listen to Pakistani music, own everything Pakistani please!
