Friends of SOS Multan is an examplary platform, presenting great philanthropic spirit, pursuing the noble cause of recuperating the lives of undepriviliged children. Whereas, 'Friends of SOS committee' serves as the right hand for the purpose. Every month, a social event is conducted by them, bringing together women of the city of saints to contribute a small sum on individual basis, which turns into a snowball at the end of the day. Making a huge difference in the lives of children at the SOS village Multan.

Whether its freezing winter or scorching summer, the enthusiasm, the zest, the dedication for this cause never fail to inspire. The month of May witnessed one such display, a splendid hi-tea at Ramada hotel, hosted by Shazia Arshad, Shaheena Arif, Rabia Wahid, Saiqa Raza, Sonia, Fatima, Sadia, Sobia and Hina. As the craze for summer clothing had just started, members were invited to wear the prettiest 'lawn dress' they had in their wardrobe. The request was well honored and the party turned out to be demonstration of prettiness as a whole.

Keeping up the tradition, Rameen Anis went on to give a presentation of many activities taking place at 'SOS village Multan'. The efforts being made by the administration and acknowledgement of contributions of those associated with the cause were brought to the light. As the holy month of Ramadan was approaching too. Members were requested to sponsor 'Sehris and aftaars' at the village. The response was amazing, the entire month was booked in no time. Such is the generous spirit of all these benevolent members.

Haniya Shahid appreciated the hostesses for their inexhaustible co-operation, generosity and hospitality. She mentioned, how impressed she was by the readiness of this group to host this magnificent event and their personal effort to make it a huge success. As the turnover was superb, the venue and menu was impeccable. Rubina Arshad, Mala Ahsan, Syeda Zahra Basset, Rabia Bosan , Samreen Zeeshan, Farah Khwaja and Saadia Yaqoob brightened the scene with their presence.

The hostesses looked great and displayed congeniality at the best. They personally reached out to host and entertain each and every member. Shazia Arshad, being the head of the group thanked the guests for sparing time and being a part of this gathering. She was all praise for her group members and their cordiality. Their hospititalty and friendliness was the reason everybody enjoyed the event whole heartedly. Shazia also thanked her special guest from Florida, Mrs. Farah Khawar Qureshi, who took time out of her recent trip to Pakistan and became a part of this event.

At the end, a scrumptious, sumptuous treat awaited everybody. We congratulate the hostesses and SOS team for bringing together another fabulous event. Keep up the good work. Hats off to you all.

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is a name synonymous with women empowerment in entire South Punjab. She is a living proof of the saying, 'empowered women, empower other women'.
