For September 2022 , the hostess of SOS village committee party selected a new venue. On 8th September Lunch at the latest hit of the town, Yum Chinese restaurant.
They had planned to arrange a Tambola program as well, which had to be changed because the restaurant rules did not allow the use of mike. Yet, Mahnaz Fareed decided, the show must go on.

Together with Fariha Munir, she decided to hold some funny questions and answers session and the guests were told, they will be awarded the gifts, if the judges, Mahnaz Fareed and Fariha Munir and hostesses Rani and Romana Tanveer, found the answers interesting. Questions were prepared at the spot by little Hajra Shah.

If questions made the guests smile, the answers of the participants the audience made roll down laughing. Real life, funny anecdotes were shared by everyone and the entire gathering enjoyed them thoroughly. Ayesha Durrani, Shaheena Arif, Asmi Ather, Saima Tanveer, Saima Faisal and Misbah received the gifts for their witty and wise answers.

It was a wonderful day, all the members appeared at their best and the most beautiful thing of all was, the cause of SOS for which, all of them had gathered together. Where this group hosted this fabulous party, they also arranged a splendid birthday party for the September birthday children, with gifts, cake cutting ceremony and all.

Congratulations to all the hostesses for their efforts and we look forward to more good from them. Stay happy and blessed everyone.

M.G.M. Swimming pool.

View of the domes of MGM bulding from inside the pool. The crystal clear blue water. Chairs lined up for the spectators. Little pool for the toddlers. Summer is finally here, although, the weather still turns unpredictable at times. But still, one feels like taking a dip in the cool, cool water of a crystal clear pool.  M.G.M (Multan Garrison Mess. Commonly known among  Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. From April to September/ October (if weather allows it).  Last year, the pool remained open, only till May, after that, it was shut down for renovations & could not be reopened because of the 'dengue' scare. MGM pool has always been, undoubtedly the biggest & the best in this city, with an excellent filtration plant to boast & an extremely dedicated team of military men as workers, for maintaining th

Annual debates at SOS Herman Gmeiner school

Glimpses from the event When you first visit SOS Herman Gmeiner school Multan, you are amazed by its majestic architectural design, beautifully decorated class rooms, functional libraries, meticulously pruned playgrounds, clean walkways and glistening environment. You look at the well mannered, disciplined, full of smiles students, extremely efficient staff members, all this makes you believe that this must be a high end school. To be honest, it is equally great in all its standards. Rather better in some, as they have Rosetta Stone library, through its audio/video English learning methods, children of this school have acquired exceptional accents and perfect pronunciations. Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members. There is a subject of  'general knowledge', which is based on the colorful books in their library, it requires th

Maria BB's dholki at Tehmina Munir's

Glimpses of the resplendent event at Tehmina Munir's house. SOS children's village Multan is a little wonderland. Where children are raised with all the love in the world. No blood relatives are required for the purpose, as SOS villages have their own family system and nurture a congenial environment. A village consists of several houses. Each house is an abode to ten children. Looked after by a lady, appointed as 'mother'. She is responsible for taking care of the household chores and of the children like a mother. In short, it is made sure, they receive the affection of sisters, brothers and a mother. If there are siblings residing in the village, it is ensured, they are housed together. So, they are not deprived of their blood relations as well. For the rest, the generous and kind 'friends of SOS' are always there to extend their loving gestures. The monthly committee party system is adopted to keep them actively involved in the life at SOS village and en
