Comittee party by Filza Akbar & Mrs. Naseem Pitafi

Thick humid air of  July, brings joys of unusual treats for Multani'ites. Flavours of Mangoes, cooling showers of monsoon, warm glow of the summer sun. The weather encourages the constant flirtation of the clouds with the sun. The romance between mid-summer breeze and the heat, reaches new heights. Unfortunately; not many of the natives, stay in this city to witness, such affairs of the mother Nature, during this month.

Anyway; those who get back from their trips to faraway lands or choose to stay here this season, because of some reason, partying remains a great option.

Filza , is among few of those lucky people, who had the opportunity to perform Umra, just few days ago & also, it was her turn to throw a party & receive the amount in FMS' committee. Filza's partner was Mrs. Aziza Naseem Pitafi, who could not attend the party due to some commitments & she was represented by her daughter instead. Filza invited everybody for  hi-tea at Ramada, on 9th July. It turned out to be a lovely event. Ladies sparkled in their summer apparels & enjoyed each others' company. The most pleasant surprise of the evening, was presence of Filza's sister Shehla Shahid, who was in town to visit the family. Not to forget; Shehla remained a part of this committee for a long time & was among the pioneer members from its' inception. So, her presence proved an extremely pleasant company.

All those present at the occasion had a great time & a lovely evening.
We congratulate Filza for performing Umra & throwing another nice party. Well done girl!

View of the domes of MGM bulding from inside the pool. The crystal clear blue water. Chairs lined up for the spectators. Little pool for the toddlers. Summer is finally here, although, the weather still turns unpredictable at times. But still, one feels like taking a dip in the cool, cool water of a crystal clear pool.  M.G.M (Multan Garrison Mess. Commonly known among  Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. From April to September/ October (if weather allows it).  Last year, the pool remained open, only till May, after that, it was shut down for renovations & could not be reopened because of the 'dengue' scare. MGM pool has always been, undoubtedly the biggest & the best in this city, with an excellent filtration plant to boast & an extremely dedicated team of military men as workers, for maintaining th...

Leading lady of Multan Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is a name synonymous with women empowerment in entire South Punjab. She is a living proof of the saying, 'empowered women, empower other women'.
