APWA or all Pakistan women's association, is undoubtedly the oldest organization, which was established for the betterment of Pakistani women & society, as it was founded soon after our country came into existence.

In Multan, the harbinger, the flag bearer of this cause has been the most distinguished lady, who is behind almost every other project for women empowerment in this city, none other the very famous chairperson APWA begum Farrukh Mukhtar.

Her second in command, who has reinvented this cause in a revolutionary way, the vice chairperson Mrs. Farah Faisal. This girl is as capable, as dedicated to this cause & as beautiful a person inside out as her mother inlaw Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is. Farah Faisal has infused new spirit in APWA Multan. She has activated it in full throttle & alongwith educational opportunities for the ladies, organized useful activities, inspirational & motivational sessions, time after time.

Farah Faisal has also raised a fabulous new team of volunteers & executive members, who are always there to support this cause. Amazing ladies like Mrs. Nazia Khan , Mrs. Tahira Najam , Mrs. Tehmina Munir , Seerat Fatima , Mrs. Yasmeen Bokhari & many others have displayed great commitment towards APWA, which is truly commendable.

Recently, these wonder women got together at Arena DHA Multan for another informative awareness session & invited the nationwide well known podcaster, presenter, Dr. Affan Qaisar & his equally gifted & stunning life partner, Dr. Nazish Affan. The topic of discussion was 'social responsibility'. Alongwith few other great minds, where these geniuses shared their knowledge & experiences, the audience was also encouraged to participate & as a result an enlightening & fruitful discussion took place.

Farah Faisal addressed the gathering & introduced APWA & its cause. Tehmina Munir, Tahira Najam & Nazia Khan also spoke at the occasion & shared their valuable views. Whereas, Rabia Rehman , Mahvesh Anjum Jeelani , Uzma Khan principal MPS & many other distinguished names were among the attendees.

Leading lady of Multan Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is a name synonymous with women empowerment in entire South Punjab. She is a living proof of the saying, 'empowered women, empower other women'. She became a member of Majlis-e-shurra of Pakistan and served at that position from 1982 to 1985 and dedicated herself for the betterment of underprivileged women of South Punjab. Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar was fully aware of the talents of the women of this area and knew how their skills were exploited at home and at work. She was determined to uplift and raise their standards of living, through education and trainings. She was among first people to ever demand a separate university for the girls of Multan and remained persistent about it. Summer is finally here, although, the weather still turns unpredictable at times. But still, one feels like taking a dip in the cool, cool water of a crystal clear pool. M.G.M (Multan Garrison Mess. Commonly known among Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. From April to September/ October (if weather allows it). Last year, the pool remained open, only till May, after that, it was shut down for renovations & could not be reopened because of the 'dengue' scare. Friends of Sos party at Rameen's

Friends of SOS committee 2025, came to its completion. The last party of this cycle was hosted at Rameen anis' place on 22nd November 2025. Not to forget, Rameen has earned a great reputation as an immaculate organizer of parties at her home. Haniya.shahid who is the main organizer of this committee group, helped conduct the games & announcements, with @szeeshan647 who was awarded a prize for successful completion of a year as secretary general of friends of sos & passed this position to Aeishah Durrani for the year 2026. The event was filled with fun filled games & activities, alongwith a singing competition. The best part of this group is, the organizers encourage all the members to step forward, participate & have fun.
