Eid milan at Ladies club

Madam Shagufta Khaaksaar.
Muslims all over the world, get two 'EIDS' to celebrate. Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha, the days to rejoice the bounties, Allah has bestowed upon the followers of Islam. Recently, it was Eid-ul-Azha  celebrated at the end of October.

Ladies club, Multan has a tradition of contributing to the spirit of festivity, by arranging Eid-milan ( a get-together after eid), for its esteemed members. One such event took place on 7th November, 2012. The party was funded by the club. The extra money left, after meeting all the expenses of the club (i,e; electricity/gas bills, servants' salaries, etc) from the amount collected as annual membership fees from the members was surrendered to the club by, 'Finance secretary' of the club, Dr. Naseem Durrani. She managed, the entire menu and layout of the hi-tea for the guests.

As we all know, woman is the name of a thousand vanities. And such functions provide her an opportunity to show off her tastes and exhibit dressing skills. Keeping this in mind, all the members were requested to arrive, dressed in their 'eid' attires.

The comparing and stage co-ordination was done by Mrs. Shagufta Khaksaar. She successfully conducted the show. Invited all the members, willing to participate in the dress show at stage. Mrs. Tahira Najam was also there to lend a helping hand. The delightful fact is, alongwith young members, the seniors participated vehemently.

To add more colour to this event. A beautiful exhibition of he designer clothes by Mrs. Farhat Bokhari was added as the part of the event. Which attracted a lot of attention and admiration by the members.

MGM pool has always been, undoubtedly the biggest & the best in this city, with an excellent filtration plant to boast & an extremely dedicated team of military men as workers, for maintaining th

Annual debates at SOS Herman Gmeiner school

Glimpses from the event When you first visit SOS Herman Gmeiner school Multan, you are amazed by its majestic architectural design, beautifully decorated class rooms, functional libraries, meticulously pruned playgrounds, clean walkways and glistening environment. You look at the well mannered, disciplined, full of smiles students, extremely efficient staff members, all this makes you believe that this must be a high end school. To be honest, it is equally great in all its standards. Rather better in some, as they have Rosetta Stone library, through its audio/video English learning methods, children of this school have acquired exceptional accents and perfect pronunciations. Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members. There is a subject of  'general knowledge', which is based on the colorful books in their library, it requires th

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is a name synonymous with women empowerment in entire South Punjab. She is a living proof of the saying, 'empowered women, empower other women'. She became a member of Majlis-e-shurra of Pakistan and served at that position from 1982 to 1985 and dedicated herself for the betterment of underprivileged women of South Punjab.  Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar was fully aware of the talents of the women of this area and knew how their skills were exploited at home and at work.
