Roof top, Eid milan dinner by Mala and Ahsan Rasheed.

Beautiful hostess of the event, Mala Ahsan also known as Shimaila Jabeen.

Mala Ahsan and Mr. Ahsan Rasheed, are few of the most lively, young, popular couples of the city of saints. Being the owners of Shama banaspati ghee, they sponsor all the mega events in Multan. Of all the characteristics attributed to them, top of the list is their spirit to party. Well known for holding functions for the families. They welcome husbands and wives, along with their kids. So, an invitation from Mr. Ahsan Rasheed and Mala, brings smiles on the faces of entire family.

As they actually belong to Lahore. Usually, they are not in Multan on eids. But they love their friends and realize how they leave them, deprived of their wonderful company, on such days of religious festivities. To make it up for that, they always organize eid-milans, when they are back in town.

On Friday, 9th November 2012, one such event was arranged at their beautiful home. The most interesting feature of their house is a roof top lawn, complete with grass and other plantations. So, there could not be a better venue for a dinner, on a Multani November night, other than that.

Mala, who is also known by her maiden name Shimaila Jabeen; is not just an amazing beauty in herself, but also loves to surround herself with it. She takes great pains to add a personalized touch of elegance to her parties. At this event as well, she created an enchanting ambiance through,  flowers, candles, lighting and music. The magic spell started working on the senses of  guests, as they entered the reception full of flowers, beautifully lit with candles and lamps. The fountain in the patio was permeated with Rose petals. The stair case was adorned with Rose garlands with a candle lighted at every step.

On the terrace, all the plants were beautifully covered with fairy lights. Lavish buffet dinner was running constantly, for those who reached in time or arrived late. Local female singers were invited to add live singing performance. They carried on, till Mala and Ahsan's kids took hold of the stage for their own performances. Which stamped it, as a perfect family show.

But the most stunning feature of the party remained Mrs. Mala Ahsan, the mesmerising beauty attended all her guests with special care, which transformed an ordinary evening to an extremely special occasion. One of the guests Mrs Ayesha Lu Lu Khwaja said, 'Parties are usually beautiful. But this party also had a beautiful hostess to boast'.

Thanks a lot Mala and Ahsan, for bringing such wonderful times for your friends, in the city of saints.

Summer is finally here, although, the weather still turns unpredictable at times. But still, one feels like taking a dip in the cool, cool water of a crystal clear pool.  M.G.M (Multan Garrison Mess. Commonly known among  Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. Annual debates at SOS Herman Gmeiner school

Glimpses from the event When you first visit SOS Herman Gmeiner school Multan, you are amazed by its majestic architectural design, beautifully decorated class rooms, functional libraries, meticulously pruned playgrounds, clean walkways and glistening environment. You look at the well mannered, disciplined, full of smiles students, extremely efficient staff members, all this makes you believe that this must be a high end school. To be honest, it is equally great in all its standards. Rather better in some, as they have Rosetta Stone library, through its audio/video English learning methods, children of this school have acquired exceptional accents and perfect pronunciations. Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members. There is a subject of  'general knowledge', which is based on the colorful books in their library, it requires th...
