February was all taken by weddings, due to which, many of the committee parties (supposed to take place in February) automatically moved to March. SOS village committee for February, 2013, was held on 13th March, by three gorgeous women Tehmina Munir, Misbah Idrees and Samina Qureshi.

It was a full rainy day. The venue was, the beautiful house of Misbah Idrees. Adorned with candle lights and flower arrangements, specially to brighten the occasion.

The surprise of the show, was a 'naat khwani' session, by the girls of SOS village. Totally unannounced, but something which imparted a spirit and theme to the party. Followed by chit chat of the SOS administration about the upcoming events.

Later, the guests were entertained by a scrumptious, sumptuous, tea-dinner. The dinning table was a great show of extravagance, loaded with variety of 'diet food', made by extremely fitness conscious, fit smart lady, Mrs. Tehmina Munir. Misbah had also contributed generously in the menu.

The hostesses were all, very hospitable. And attended each and every member with care. Indeed, beautiful people, transform, even simple things and occasions to splendid ones, with their magical touch. And this was indeed the case with this party.

We congratulate, these lovely ladies, their effort is specially commendable, because it takes a lot of hard work and effort, to arrange such functions at home. And you did your best in doing so.God bless you all.

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is a name synonymous with women empowerment in entire South Punjab. She is a living proof of the saying, 'empowered women, empower other women'. She became a member of Majlis-e-shurra of Pakistan and served at that position from 1982 to 1985 and dedicated herself for the betterment of underprivileged women of South Punjab.
