Queen of theme parties, Mala Ahsan

Shimaila Jabeen  or Mala Ahsan (as she is popularly known) is indeed the queen of themed parties. Once, she decides a subject, follows it to the last detail. And every time there is an occasion, there is something unique and innovative.

It was Mala's turn to throw a party in FMS' committee.
The party took place on Saturday, 30th March.

The venue was the famous roof top garden of her own house.

The month of March, just the ideal time to celebrate the beauty of spring. And voila! There it was, her latest theme was 'flowers and fauna'.

One could easily guess the theme, the moment one entered her house, the doors were covered with Red Rose garlands. A big beautiful bouquet, placed in the center of the reception, welcomed the guests. Rose petals beautifully placed in form of motifs, highlighted with tiny oil lamps (or diva, as called in local language).

The staircase, which lead to the roof top garden was adorned with the Rose garlands, the color Red, everywhere. A candle at every step.

The decoration of the sitting area, at the terrace was breath taking, as stunning as Mala herself.
A beautiful canopy, provided the shade. Heavy aristocratic chaises, couches and sofas, all in Red Velvet and Gold, graced the place.

Red Roses, plenty of flower arrangements, flower petals, artistically placed, glorified the event.
So, much so, even the crockery which Mala used to serve, was full of floral designs.

Mala also had, few gifts to share with her guests. A surprise selection of 'lady of the evening'. The judges were children present at the occasion. Those little devils, gathered together, stood infront of the ladies, in usual manner. As if, simply looking around and then disappeared after deciding something. And later, Mala announced, the kids selected Marium Farrukh, as the recipient of the title.

Later, followed a brilliant cuisine of variety of items for hi-tea. A gastronomic and visual treat.
Everybody had a lovely time. And what was even more, the party was over in time.

Well done Mala. Once again, you entertained us all all in a splendid manner. Looking forward to more, in the future.

Annual debates at SOS Herman Gmeiner school

Glimpses from the event When you first visit SOS Herman Gmeiner school Multan, you are amazed by its majestic architectural design, beautifully decorated class rooms, functional libraries, meticulously pruned playgrounds, clean walkways and glistening environment. You look at the well mannered, disciplined, full of smiles students, extremely efficient staff members, all this makes you believe that this must be a high end school. To be honest, it is equally great in all its standards. Rather better in some, as they have Rosetta Stone library, through its audio/video English learning methods, children of this school have acquired exceptional accents and perfect pronunciations. Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members. There is a subject of  'general knowledge', which is based on the colorful books in their library, it requires th
