Zubia Zainab Bridal Atelier Launch

Zubia Zainab, the ace designer with her creations and her models

On a fine looking evening on September 8th, the city of saints witnessed an avant garde by virtuoso designer Zubia Zainab. As, four enchanting beauties, including the famous actress and model, Sana Sarfraz, were flown in, from all over the country, inorder to walk for the launch of Zubia Zainab bridal atelier. The very first of its kind to set-up in Multan.

When it comes to presentation and style, this young, yet established and well reputed designer
Zubia Zainab , has inherited the spirit of no compromise, from her prestigious designer mom Masooma Sibtain. She has learnt to be perfect. Therefore, for this event, everything had to be perfect. The venue, the decorations, music, entertainment, make-up of models and of course, the bridal dresses, for which the show was created. Everything spoke volumes about their quest for transcendence.

The venue was Osteria fusion. Reason for its selection besides its luxurious ambiance and interior was, it is situated right infront of Zubia Zainab bridal atelier in Gulgasht. Which is indeed the most successful area, when it comes to business. It is the 'fashion district' of city of saints, or what MM.Alam road is too Lahore. Beauty of the venue was enhanced further by the exquisite decorations. For which Masooma had hired the services of the very talented Khadija Babber. Extravagant flower arrangements, fairy and candle lights, artistic screens, created an enchanting backdrop, adding the touch of fairytale in real life.

Hair and make up was done personally by 'Itrat Gillani', the owner of Alle' Nora Multan. The models appeared breath takingly beautiful, showcasing the ethereal, Zubia Zainab bridal couture collection. Ravishing Red to mesmerising pastel tones. Meticulously detailed
quintessential fabrics. Traditional opulence merged with contemporary refinement, evoking splendour of the bygone days, yet orchestrating modern day glamourised look. It seemed as Zubia Zainab has poured, essence of her soul in her designs. She is indeed a wizardess when it comes to bridal couture.

Zubia Zainab and Masooma are also fully aware of the comestible treats in life.
They had even distributed invites of this event with cupcakes with Zubia Zainab logo on them.To live upto that, they had an entire section dedicated to refreshments for the entertainment of their honorable guests. With soft drinks and juices on the constant go. The service at Osteria was remarkable in refilling, as it was consumed.

The chief guest of the event was very special too. The prestigious and renowned figure, Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar, who is the patron-in chief of Women's chamber Multan, lifetime president of ladies club Multan and much much more. She expressed, the utter joy she had, seeing the youngest qualified fashion designer of Pakistan and one of the youngest entrepreneurs of Women's chamber, Zubia Zainab sporting such a splendid event.

A glamourous event like this, is not complate without its due coverage in media. That part was also taken good care of, alongwith excellent lighting and music. Maximum number of electric and print media representatives were invited. Multan started trending on social media magazines within no time. E-magizines like Hello, ebuzz, whatts_new , immediately started posting pictures of the event. Leaving those localites feeling euphoric, who had their pictures published. Among them the most popular were Zahra Shah and Hajra Shah. Women got excited on reaching home, to see themselves being featured in news of the event taking selfies and having fun.

In short, Zubia Zainab, her sister Bisma Shoaib and mom Masooma left no stone unturned to enthrall their audience. They simply won their hearts with reaching out to everyone. Extending their hospitality and love in entertaining all their guests. Masooma personally took each of her guest for photography with models. It was indeed a memorable event and is going to stay in the minds. Thanks a lot for brightening our lives.

Congratulations Zubia Zainab for creating history by opening first formal bridal studio in Multan and organizing such a wonderful show for the natives of city of saints. Wish you, all the best at every step in your life.

M.G.M. Swimming pool.

View of the domes of MGM bulding from inside the pool. The crystal clear blue water. Chairs lined up for the spectators. Little pool for the toddlers. Summer is finally here, although, the weather still turns unpredictable at times. But still, one feels like taking a dip in the cool, cool water of a crystal clear pool.  M.G.M (Multan Garrison Mess. Commonly known among  Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. From April to September/ October (if weather allows it).  Last year, the pool remained open, only till May, after that, it was shut down for renovations & could not be reopened because of the 'dengue' scare. MGM pool has always been, undoubtedly the biggest & the best in this city, with an excellent filtration plant to boast & an extremely dedicated team of military men as workers, for maintaining th

Leading lady of Multan Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is a name synonymous with women empowerment in entire South Punjab. She is a living proof of the saying, 'empowered women, empower other women'. She became a member of Majlis-e-shurra of Pakistan and served at that position from 1982 to 1985 and dedicated herself for the betterment of underprivileged women of South Punjab.  Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar was fully aware of the talents of the women of this area and knew how their skills were exploited at home and at work. She was determined to uplift and raise their standards of living, through education and trainings. She was among first people to ever demand a separate university for the girls of Multan and remained persistent about it. Finally, it bore fruit, three decades later, in form of women's university Multan.  Not just education, but she has worked for the social and economic empowerment of the women too. She is the president of Ladies club Multan. A social platform, which exists fo

Annual debates at SOS Herman Gmeiner school

Glimpses from the event When you first visit SOS Herman Gmeiner school Multan, you are amazed by its majestic architectural design, beautifully decorated class rooms, functional libraries, meticulously pruned playgrounds, clean walkways and glistening environment. You look at the well mannered, disciplined, full of smiles students, extremely efficient staff members, all this makes you believe that this must be a high end school. To be honest, it is equally great in all its standards. Rather better in some, as they have Rosetta Stone library, through its audio/video English learning methods, children of this school have acquired exceptional accents and perfect pronunciations. Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members. There is a subject of  'general knowledge', which is based on the colorful books in their library, it requires th
