Every end holds a new beginning. Friends of SOS committee, Multan completed the cycle of its parties with a show stopper of a Rang party, at Hania Shahid's place in March. And took a flight with a brand new set of committee parties in April, 2014.

The first party was hosted by Tehmina Khakwani, Zarlashta, Saima Noor and Rabia Bosan. The beautiful ladies, arranged a hi-tea at Whispers, in Ramada, Multan.

The occasion turned out to be a stunner, with the uniqueness of its theme. All the members were requested to attend it, wearing a lawn suit from 'Elan'.

Why Elan? Many of you may not be aware of the fact that the number one lawn of Pakistan, which has acquired the position of a craze, all over the country and abroad, none other than 'Elan lawn' is actually  Multan based creation. Hussain Textile Mills are owned and operated by Multani-ites. And friends of SOS have among themselves themselves Mrs. Atiqa Hussain, the lady married to the proud owner of this mind blowing product, called Elan lawn.

So, it was to share their pride and celebrate their success that 'friends of SOS' selected this theme. And the results were awesome. As expected, it was a great pleasure to see, the same lawn prints everywhere, styled differently, carried in everyone's individual way. Some deliberately wore the same clothes, some walked it wearing the same style, just by chance.

The committee for the month of May was hosted by Saima Faisal, Zeba Javed, Anjum Sohail and Rabia Shahzad. As, the first three ladies mentioned here, are among the owners of Ramada, Multan. They decided to use this occasion to provide some benefit for their friends and members. And organized a cooking show, conducted by none other but the Master chef of Ramada, Multan.

The program attracted a great turn over. Considering the comfort and privacy, it was arranged in the spacious and separate Maryam hall. And Multani women had the pleasure of learning new recipes from a five star chef in serene surroundings.

We congratulate the members, who held two successful, at the very beginning of the new friends of SOS committee. Which is not just all fun and frolic but carries on its back the Herculean task of helping the children of SOS village, Multan. All the best for the future, friends! God bless you all.

Summer is finally here, although, the weather still turns unpredictable at times. But still, one feels like taking a dip in the cool, cool water of a crystal clear pool.  M.G.M (Multan Garrison Mess. Commonly known among  Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. MGM pool has always been, undoubtedly the biggest & the best in this city, with an excellent filtration plant to boast & an extremely dedicated team of military men as workers, for maintaining th

Annual debates at SOS Herman Gmeiner school

Glimpses from the event When you first visit SOS Herman Gmeiner school Multan, you are amazed by its majestic architectural design, beautifully decorated class rooms, functional libraries, meticulously pruned playgrounds, clean walkways and glistening environment. You look at the well mannered, disciplined, full of smiles students, extremely efficient staff members, all this makes you believe that this must be a high end school. To be honest, it is equally great in all its standards. Rather better in some, as they have Rosetta Stone library, through its audio/video English learning methods, children of this school have acquired exceptional accents and perfect pronunciations. Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members. There is a subject of  'general knowledge', which is based on the colorful books in their library, it requires th
