Mala's turn in FMS committee party.

The hostess of the event,
Mala Ahsan.

May seemed to be the month of the gorgeous Mala Ahsan (Shimaila Jabeen). As she hosted the maximum parties this month. It was fortunately her turn to party in FMS committee, also she had another committee out this month as well, so the lady decided to join them together and hold one big party for both.

Mala loves, having her children involved in her parties. Therefore, she always requests her friends to bring their children along. So, any mention of Mala's party brings smiles on the faces of the children of city of saints.

Keeping up her own tradition, Mala invited the children of the members of the committee, who were friends with her own kids.

It turned out to be a pretty extensive party in Ramada, hi-tea, on 10th of May. The sitting arrangement was divided into several portions. Separate areas of seating for each committee and their children.

Mala had assigned her daughters to distribute chits among all the guests. On which they had to scribble, the name of only one lady, who appeared the best among all. And Mala had to open the draws and see who won the maximum votes.

And who else the winner could be? Yes! The very popular, favourite of many, a regular figure on FarihaMunirShahTimes, Madam Rabia Bossan. It seemed Rabia's graceful Green attire had held everybody's attention, she received maximum votes and won the prize of 'lady of the evening'. Well deserved indeed.

There were some other games and prizes to entertain the guests. Mala's daughters Aasiya, Aafreen and Azka, beautifully managed all of them, without the assistance of any adult. And they entertained their little guests very too. Mala has indeed trained them perfectly to perform such interesting services and keep the partying spirit alive in the guests.

Another interesting presence which honoured the occasion, was of Mrs. Cheena Gillani. Who was there to represent her daughter (the member of FMS committee) Alina Gillani, who was out of town. Madam Cheena Gillani is a very successful entrepreneur and a prominent member of SPWCCI. People were surprised to see that she carries her own glass for drinking water, which was made of pure silver. Also her jewellery remained a centre of attraction for everybody.

Finally, the guests were invited to the hi-tea, where a scrumptious menu awaited them.
It turned out to be another rocking party by this beautiful lady called Mala Ahsan.

By the time, you will be reading this post, Mala and her family must be ready to embark on their journey to Europe for a month of vacations. We wish them all, a great time and safe travelling.
God bless you all.

Summer is finally here, although, the weather still turns unpredictable at times. But still, one feels like taking a dip in the cool, cool water of a crystal clear pool.  M.G.M (Multan Garrison Mess. Commonly known among  Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. From April to September/ October (if weather allows it).  Last year, the pool remained open, only till May, after that, it was shut down for renovations & could not be reopened because of the 'dengue' scare. MGM pool has always been, undoubtedly the biggest & the best in this city, with an excellent filtration plant to boast & an extremely dedicated team of military men as workers, for maintaining th

Annual debates at SOS Herman Gmeiner school

Glimpses from the event When you first visit SOS Herman Gmeiner school Multan, you are amazed by its majestic architectural design, beautifully decorated class rooms, functional libraries, meticulously pruned playgrounds, clean walkways and glistening environment. You look at the well mannered, disciplined, full of smiles students, extremely efficient staff members, all this makes you believe that this must be a high end school. To be honest, it is equally great in all its standards. Rather better in some, as they have Rosetta Stone library, through its audio/video English learning methods, children of this school have acquired exceptional accents and perfect pronunciations. Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members. There is a subject of  'general knowledge', which is based on the colorful books in their library, it requires th

Leading lady of Multan Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar

Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar is a name synonymous with women empowerment in entire South Punjab. She is a living proof of the saying, 'empowered women, empower other women'. She became a member of Majlis-e-shurra of Pakistan and served at that position from 1982 to 1985 and dedicated herself for the betterment of underprivileged women of South Punjab.  Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar was fully aware of the talents of the women of this area and knew how their skills were exploited at home and at work. She was determined to uplift and raise their standards of living, through education and trainings. She was among first people to ever demand a separate university for the girls of Multan and remained persistent about it. Finally, it bore fruit, three decades later, in form of women's university Multan.  Not just education, but she has worked for the social and economic empowerment of the women too.
