Fatima Shah launches her label "Pineapple Apparel''

Fatima Shah with first ever Pineapple Apparel display at Ramada  hotel Multan

Fatima Shah is a very talented young girl. Who has recently graduated in 'Fashion marketing' from Pakistan institute of Fashion and design Lahore. Like her other class fellows, she took up a job in Lahore, in the relevant field, but the entrepreneurial spirit in her, could not confine her in the mundane routines of the job.

Encouraged by her father, who is also a successful businessman alongwith being a medical doctor, Fatima Shah enthusiastically ventured into the world of business with a small business, named Angeldust goodies. She joined, women's chamber of commerce and industry Multan division (WCCIMD) as member. Whereas, side by side, she was getting her designs stitched for her fashion line 'Pineapple apparel',  which are specifically aimed for younger generation.

The launch/ First exhibition

While Fatima was planning launch for her brand, they were invited at one day pop-up exhibition at Ramada Multan, in which well known designers from Lahore, Karachi and Multan were participating. Fatima Shah took this opportunity to launch her creations, by being a part of this exhibition.

On November 13th 2019, the launch took place. Fatima did great for a first timer. She was lucky that even established designer like Zubia Zainab, enterprising ladies like Mahnaz Fareed and Saima Faisal, young girls like Sephora and Khadija Yasin, bought her pieces.

There could not be a better place than Ramada and a better chance for this launch, but among prestigious designers from Lahore, Karachi and Multan as on this event. Excellent service by Ramada, with provision of running tea, coffee, snacks and mineral water, all inclusive.

Thanks to all friends and family, like Qaisar Khan Pitafi, Saadia Yaqoob, Samreen Zeeshan, Masooma Sibtain and Qamar KhushiSyed Muhammad Burhan Raza of Gumnaam Bashinday, it was mid-week and the timing limited, but they managed to be there to support Fatima Shah.

SECOND EXHIBITION

Encouraged by the response and with products at hand, Fatima Shah planned to hold another exhibition, the very next week, on Thursday 21st November, at their home near Multan cantt. Fatima Shah termed it a 'launch party' and it turned out to be an even bigger success. People started pouring in, right at the time of beginning of exhibition.

Renowned Blogger Rukh-e-Zainab Virk provided full coverage to the event by posting live stories at Instagram and Facebook. Fatima is truly grateful to this lovely young lady who happens to be a dentist too, for sparing time and focusing at Pineapple apparel Exhibition.

There were many visitors, mostly ladies, who admired Fatima Shah's creativity and designs. Zoha Ali and Rida Fatima modeled the clothes. Whereas, Aaseeyah Rasheed,  Mahnoor Anees, Rida Abbass, Azka Rani and Anam Khichi, shopped their bags full with perfect youthful 'Pineapple Apparel' clothes.

As it was a 'launch party', there was ample supply of snacks and drinks for all. The event started in afternoon and there was not a minute till late night that the house was not filled with youngsters, there to check, try on and buy clothes from 'Pineapple apparel'. Thanks to young shoppers like Rimsha Anees, moms like Mala Ahsan and friends like Farah Khwaja who accompanied their girls to support this youthful venture.

That was not all, ladies like Meher Jawad and Attia Fatima Muzaffar, who could not visit due to commitments, ordered online and had clothes picked from the place. Exemplary grandmothers like Mrs. Aziza Naseem Pitafi, bought clothes from 'Pineapple Apparel' to gift them to grand-daughters.

Now Fatima Shah has two businesses,

1) Angeldust goodies

 2) Pineapple apparel

Congratulations to Fatima's father, Dr. Munir Hussain Shah who is sponsoring his daughters businesses tirelessly, without asking for returns and has a vision that his daughters must be as financially independent and stable like any well-off man in a society. He wants them to be self sufficient and to depend on themselves only. Great man indeed.

View of the domes of MGM bulding from inside the pool. The crystal clear blue water. Chairs lined up for the spectators. Little pool for the toddlers. Summer is finally here, although, the weather still turns unpredictable at times. But still, one feels like taking a dip in the cool, cool water of a crystal clear pool.  M.G.M (Multan Garrison Mess. Commonly known among  Multanis, by its' old name 'services club'), opens up, pool doors for all its' members every 15th of April. The pool is open air, so it works on seasonal basis. From April to September/ October (if weather allows it).  Last year, the pool remained open, only till May, after that, it was shut down for renovations & could not be reopened because of the 'dengue' scare. MGM pool has always been, undoubtedly the biggest & the best in this city, with an excellent filtration plant to boast & an extremely dedicated team of military men as workers, for maintaining th

Annual debates at SOS Herman Gmeiner school

Glimpses from the event When you first visit SOS Herman Gmeiner school Multan, you are amazed by its majestic architectural design, beautifully decorated class rooms, functional libraries, meticulously pruned playgrounds, clean walkways and glistening environment. You look at the well mannered, disciplined, full of smiles students, extremely efficient staff members, all this makes you believe that this must be a high end school. To be honest, it is equally great in all its standards. Rather better in some, as they have Rosetta Stone library, through its audio/video English learning methods, children of this school have acquired exceptional accents and perfect pronunciations. Each student has access to laptop in computer class, their teachers use smartboard alongwith blackboard. Even their teachers are assessed and guided with the help of executive committee members. There is a subject of  'general knowledge', which is based on the colorful books in their library, it requires th

She was determined to uplift and raise their standards of living, through education and trainings. She was among first people to ever demand a separate university for the girls of Multan and remained persistent about it. Finally, it bore fruit, three decades later, in form of women's university Multan.  Not just education, but she has worked for the social and economic empowerment of the women too.
